Broadcast design From entire spots to title design, art direction to directing talent. Plus graphic design, effects and compositing on a wide variety of spots local, national and beyond, here's some stuff I've done that you may or may not have seen.
RED HOUSE | Client: Red House/Post Office Editorial | This spot was designed to be played in movie theaters (you know, before the feature) as well as on local television. the look was extrapolated from their printed material. [ quicktime movie ]
THE FIRE NEXT TIME | Client: The Working Group | This PBS-aired film chronicles the ongoing conflict over the environment in Kalispell, Montana and the role conservative talk radio plays in that dispute. [ quicktime movie ]
FREEDOM MACHINES | Client: Jamie Stobie & Janet Cole | A documentary film showing how computers are helping the differently-abled connect with the world, it aired on PBS's "P.O.V." series. [ quicktime movie ]
LUXN | Client: Luxn, Inc./True West TV | Luxn creates tools used to transfer information through fiber optic technology. For their 30-second PBS underwriting spot, I created this multi-layered piece using live action and motion graphics, as well as directing on camera talent. [ quicktime movie ]
LIVELYHOOD | Client: The Working Group | I art directed this PBS series hosted by Will Durst. "Livelyhood" was an often-humorous, always-inspiring look at the changing nature of work in America. The look was a bright, high-impact mix of Photoshop fakery, vintage media recreations, and 2.5-D animation with a sometimes deadpan take on the tools of corporate employee motivation. |
